We want Christ-like servants. (Mark 10:45) We give counselors the opportunity to serve kids, families, and each other throughout the summer and year. How does this happen? Well, we need counselors to be F.A.T. Christians: Faithful, Available, and Teachable to the Lord.

Faithful in trusting that God has a purpose for them to be at camp and faithful to the leaders of CBS.


Available in all accounts of life. Ready to help out where help is needed. Ready to sweat so that others may rest. Ready to hear what God is saying.

Teachable to what God has to offer in 5 to 10 weeks of service in His Name.

We look for people who are struggling, growing, and earnestly seeking Him; counselors who want hearts and lives molded, so they may serve Christ more each day.

Each counselor will participate in a Discipleship Group while they are at camp. Counselors will be committed to prayer and study of the Word. Devotion and prayer is important in this ministry. "That saint who advances on his knees never retreats." Jim Elliot (missionary)

In every situation we want to be led by the Spirit. We do not reveal Christ to kids; the Spirit does. This means we adopt a "no pressure" approach to sharing the gospel. We want to allow the Holy Spirit to pierce hearts and meet kids where they are. It is a privilege to be a part of this, not a right.
